We are living in difficult and unpredictable times and now,
                more  t
han ever, we are challenged to find a core place of
meaning and purpose within ourselves that will connect us
with one another and with our world which is so desperately
in need of healing.  When we find what we feel passionate
about, what makes us come alive, the universe will support
whatever we want to do, if we do it with love and in the

                service of others.

“The world without spirit is a wasteland. People have the notion of saving the world
          by shifting things
around, changing the rules, and who’s on top and so on. No, no! Any
world is a valid world if it’s alive.
The thing to do is to bring life to it, and the only way
to do that is to find where in your own case,
the life is and to become alive yourself."
           Joseph Campbell

             My work is systemic and grounded in the belief that all of life is interconnected;
that all people have access to spirit or a source of wisdom within their own heart.
The way we stay connected with our heart is by learning to be our authentic selves
and to live in the present moment as much as possible.  Learning to accept and
know ourselves is the work of a life time and begins as Pema Chodron says, by
             "becoming our own best friend."

Many of us spend so much time mulling over regrets of the past or worrying about
             what may go
wrong in the future that we spend precious little time being fully present
to what is happening in the moment. When we are not present in the moment we do
not really see or listen to one another; we do not see the beauty in our friend's face or
the sadness in a stranger's eyes.  The morning sun streaming through the kitchen
window, bathing the colbalt blue vase in exquisite light is lost to us. Our time here is
fleeting and each moment is precious regardless of the pain we've endured and the
love we have lost.  Being genuinely present isn't about finding a peaceful place inside
where nothing can ever hurt us; it is about facing each day with courage and gratitude,
risking our hearts by loving deeply, knowing full well that everything and everyone we
love we will someday lose. It is about choosing to love just the same.
